Fr. Bob's Bio

Hello! My name is Father Robert L. Bailey – commonly known as Father Bob. I am a native of Cranston, Rhode Island (RI), and a retired Roman Catholic priest in RI. I earned a bachelor's degree in Education and Human Development at Rhode Island College. I attended Our Lady of Providence Seminary in Warwick, RI, and then continued my studies at the Major Seminary in Emmitsburg, MD, where I earned a master's degree in Theology. I was ordained to the priesthood in 1993.

Having an interest in the paranormal since childhood, I began to feel a calling to assist those working in the area of paranormal research with my priesthood. I thought that the Church and the Catholic faith could bring some age-old wisdom and spiritual authority to the table in the area of the demonic.

Through a series of circumstances, my friendship with Ryan Buell of the Paranormal Research Society (PRS) led to our collaboration on various episodes of the Paranormal State television series, where dark forces were suspected. This work provided me with both experience and exposure, as well as credibility in the field of the paranormal. As a result, I began to receive numerous requests for spiritual assistance in my area from both individuals and various paranormal investigators. The need became so great that I founded The Praesidium Warriors of St. Michael (PWSM) and a website to serve investigators and individuals who may encounter negative or demonic forces, providing education and training in spiritual warfare.

Besides having been a Guest on Paranormal State episodes with Ryan, I also had the privilege to work with the late Lorraine Warren (whom I loved dearly!), Michelle Belanger, and Chip Coffey. I also appeared on Animal Planet’s The Haunted, as well as Discovery's Expedition X and Haunted Happenings (later called Confronting the Darkness - a talk show on YouTube with Rob Jacobs). I have also been a guest on various radio shows, including Sheena L.A. Talk Radio, Swords of St. Michael, Paranormal Insider, Behind the Paranormal, SHOK Radio, Anomalies, and most recently, Paranormal Zone.

In the Summer of 2024, I began a private, independent, local ministry called the Holy Sword Apostolate (HSA). With the nickname "Paranormal Padre," I am dedicated to education in spiritual warfare, paranormal issues, and demonology. I am available for lectures and workshops, as well as for liberation from homes or places, prayers for healing, assisting earthbound and Purgatorial souls, and working with others on collaborative cases.

The Holy Sword Apostolate Clergy Network

Initiated in the Winter of 2025, Father Bob from the East Coast of our Country and Father Kenneth Torres from the West Coast have joined together to form the Holy Sword Apostolate Clergy Network. The Network was established to respond to requests for assistance from individuals across the United States and beyond. Fr. Bob and Fr. Torres will be Co-Directors of the Network.

We are working together to build a network of clergy who have experience in spiritual warfare, demonology, and deliverance, enabling them to adequately respond to the needs of those who seek us out.

Those in the Network must be bona fide clergy from a mainstream Christian tradition. If from a Catholic or Orthodox tradition, there must be proof of Apostolic Succession. If from another Christian tradition, there must be proof of ordination from a bona fide Christian church.

When responding to clients who ask for assistance, the clergy or anyone in their group must never attempt to use a conjuring method such as seances, spirit boards, or mediumship (calling up spirits that are not already present), as these can open a door to potential negative or demonic entities.

Rev. Fr. Ken Torres, Dr. MAPC, BCMHC Co-Director, Holy Sword Apostolate Clergy Network

Rev. Fr. Kenneth Torres was born in NY, raised in NJ, and currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area. Having grown up with experiences of hauntings and paranormal encounters, he possesses a deep understanding of the supernatural.

He is of Puerto Rican descent. A US Marine veteran, Kenneth, medically retired honorably after sustaining injuries in service to his country. He has a background in counterterrorism and government contracting, with certificates and a degree in counterintelligence and security studies. After his military service, Kenneth pursued a calling in ministry, earning a master's in Pastoral Counseling.

He is a board-certified mental health coach and serves as a chaplain. With over 15 years of experience, Kenneth has studied the occult and demonology, holding a doctorate in Divinity and Theology.
